Thomas S. Whisnant, Owner & Senior HOA Manager, CMCA
Thomas graduated from UNC-CH in 1984 with a degree in journalism and advertising. He started an ad agency, Advertising Alternatives, and a printing company, A Better Image Printing, here in Chapel Hill before entering real estate and becoming a partner in Weaver Street Realty. He has since worked in property management and became a licensed appraiser. He purchased Dunlap & Associates HOA Management firm in 2012 and re-branded the company as TRAC Management, LLC. Tom’s experience in real estate, appraisal, property management, and local project management provides communities with expert advice with lots of Carrboro flavor.
Cyndi Whisnant, Business and HOA Manager
Cyndi met Tom in school at UNC-CH in the Carolina Choir, and together they began several businesses, got married, and had two wonderful children. She has worked as director of marketing and communications for several for-profit and non-profit organizations. Most recently, she was the Director of Events for Extraordinary Ventures in Chapel Hill. Cyndi has excellent expertise in communications, events, marketing, real estate, and singing jazz standards.
David Winter, HOA Manager
Dave Winter is a North Carolina native. He has a 14-year history in various management positions. He has been with TRAC Management since 2016, primarily focusing on managing HOAs, working closely with board members, and assisting with managing other TRAC communities.
Trudy Thornton, Accounting Director
Trudy has over 25 years of experience as an accountant and tax professional. She is also a North Carolina Real Estate Broker. Hence, she understands the unique accounting and management issues that homeowner’s associations face as they look to protect the value of their properties and plan for the future. Trudy began working with TRAC Management in October 2019 and helped us sail through 2020 using remote banking and management tools.
Steven Gordon, Bookkeeping and Administrative Assistant
Steven is the newest TRAC Team member. He has a background in graphic design, audio-visual technology, and office administration. Steven began working with TRAC Management in the Spring of 2021, and he brings a calm, organized approach to handling “behind-the-scenes” activities that make management run smoothly. Steven is originally from Upstate New York but has been in Carrboro, North Carolina, for 25+ years, via the UK, Prague, and Amsterdam. He passionately supports UNC Tar Heels basketball, Ajax Amsterdam soccer, and his dog Roxi.
